Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

JobCove runs jobcoveley.com from the United Kingdom. We publish home-based openings, receive applications and introduce applicants to the businesses behind those openings. Those businesses make the hiring decisions, not us. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else touches it and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 in mind, and JobCove is the controller of the details you send through this site.

What the application form asks for

Our application form runs on WhatsForm and opens as a pop-up when you press an Apply button. It is titled "UK Jobs Application" and it contains these fields and nothing else:

Every field you see is every field we get. The form does not read your contacts, your location or anything else on your phone.

Details your device sends by itself

Loading any page produces ordinary technical data: your IP address, the type of browser and device, the page you asked for, the page that sent you, and the time. Our host keeps this to deliver pages and to stop abuse. We do not join it up with your application.

Things we will never ask you for

We do not want passwords, one-time codes, online banking logins, card numbers, sort codes, National Insurance numbers or copies of passports and driving licences. If any of these reach us by mistake we delete them. If someone using the JobCove name asks you for them, it is not us, and we would like to hear about it.

Why we hold your details and on what basis

We use your application to read it, to reply to you, to introduce you to the business offering the opening you chose and to keep a short record of what happened. The lawful basis is steps taken at your request before a possible contract of work. For our basic records and for handling misuse, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the service safely. Where the law requires consent, for example for non-essential cookies, consent is the basis, and you can withdraw it.

What we do not do with it

Your details are not sold, rented or swapped. They are not added to a mailing list and you will not receive promotions from us. If a second business later asks about you, we check with you first and only pass your application on if you agree.

Who receives your application

The business behind the opening you applied for receives your details, and when we introduce you we make clear that JobCove is the introducer and that business is the one hiring. Apart from that, only the service providers named below handle your information, and only to run their part of the service.

Service providers, named

Each provider works under its own terms and privacy notice.

Google Analytics on this site

Our pages and the application form load Google Analytics with the measurement ID G-57SFNLGFXM. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are and whether the form was opened or sent. We do not place your name, email address or phone number into these measurements, and we do not use Google remarketing lists or Customer Match. You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser and the site keeps working.

Applying is a two-step process

Step one is the form. When you send it, WhatsApp opens with a message already written for you. Step two is pressing Send in WhatsApp; nothing leaves your phone until you do, and you can change the words first. Your form answers reach WhatsForm the moment you submit the form, whether or not you carry on to WhatsApp.

Cookies

Our own pages use cookies only through Google Analytics, described above, and any security cookie our host sets to tell people apart from bots. The form may set its own cookie so it works properly. You can refuse or clear cookies in your browser settings without losing the ability to apply.

Transfers outside the UK

Cloudflare, WhatsForm, Meta and Google operate internationally, so your details may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider offers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep things

An application is kept for twelve months from the last time you were in touch, then deleted. Server logs are cleared within thirty days. Backups roll over within another thirty days, after which the deleted record is gone from them too.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. Only the people who answer applications can open them, using their own accounts. We will not overstate that: no system is perfect. If a breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell the Information Commissioner within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay.

Copies held by others

Once you have been introduced, the business holds its own copy under its own privacy notice, and your WhatsApp chat also sits with Meta and on your own phone. Deleting our record does not delete those copies.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict our use of it, object to it, or receive a copy in a portable form. Email careers@jobcoveley.com and we will answer within one month. If you withdraw after an introduction, we let the business know, but we cannot take back what it already received.

Automated decisions

None. A person reads every application and the business makes its own hiring decision.

Under-18s

This service is for adults. If we learn that an application came from someone under eighteen, we delete it.

If you are unhappy

Write to careers@jobcoveley.com and explain what went wrong. Someone who was not involved the first time will look at it again and reply to you in writing.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle your details or add a new provider, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes with it.
